Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

The best place to start your journey is to take an hour (or so) and go through the guided experience on the NEXT STEPS tab. This short process helps you to see what Altitude Church is all about in our mission, vision, values, and the intentional CULTURE we're prayerfully creating together. This NEXT STEPS journey will also give you insights about how God has wired you through the Enneagram, DISC, and a Spiritual Gifts test. If you're on board with the mission, vision, values, and culture of Altitude and have a sense of how God wired you to make a difference... all you need to do is talk to a leader and begin shadowing in any serving area that fits. 

How do I volunteer with kids?

Have a heart for seeing young hearts come alive to a relationship with Jesus? We'd love to chat with you! After taking the 1-2 hour long NEXT STEPS experience (online), we'll get you connected to Pastor Chaundra or one of our Kids Min overseers.

Because this is a ministry area in which our leaders are dealing with the safety, development, and security of minors, a background check and both initial and ongoing training are required to serve in Kids Min.

How do I volunteer in Worship Arts (Music)?

Some areas of volunteering take a combination of heart, skill, and a desire to grow. If you're interested in volunteering on the band, as a vocalist, or with the worship/tech team there may be an additional step after NEXT STEPS to assess what musical abilities you already have (or are growing into) and how we can help you connect them onto the team. Those wishing to join the Worship Arts team are encouraged to take part in a few worship practice sessions and meet with a worship leader to get started. Those interested in the tech team will shadow another volunteer on Sundays to get a feel for the equipment and the live environment.

How do I volunteer with youth?

We're ALWAYS ready to equip more people who have a heart for developing and pouring into the young leaders we serve every week. After you've taken the 1-2 hour long NEXT STEPS experience (online), you'll get connected to Pastor Chaundra or one of the Youth Leaders to begin serving with you.

Because this is a ministry area in which our leaders are dealing with the safety, development, and security of minors, a background check and both initial and ongoing training are required to serve in Altitude Youth.
